ABOUT US

Bay Area Rugby Club (BARC) is a member of USA Rugby, competing in the Texas Rugby Union (TRU) Division III South. We are located in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas (near NASA Johnson Space Center) and have players from Seabrook, Kemah, Pearland, Pasadena, La Porte, Webster, League City, Dickinson, Friendswood, Alvin, and beyond.

 

BARC has been playing rugby in Houston dating back to 1974, and we were crowned the 2006-2007 Division III TRU & Western Rugby Union Champions, making a trip to the national playoffs. Most recently, in 2022 we advanced to the TRU playoffs finishing 2nd in Division III South.

We also have a Division III women's team and are affiliated with a youth rugby organization.

Everyone is always welcome, regardless of experience level. We have a range of players who have been playing most of their lives to people playing their first ever game of rugby with us.
